Anwar the movie written and directed by amal neerad has prithviraj in title role. The film had lot of hype to cope with mainly coz the story was set against the background of terrorism, and since it was coming from a director who had created a new style statement in the malayalam industry!! the so called young superstar of our malayalam industry had got some amazing and stylish catches through out the film. the story is as weak as it can be, but being an amal neerad film u should not be keep worrying about the story, since one shud knw that he tells his story through frames and angles. the whole film is about the muslims being tortured by the police.. and how they are being misunderstood to be terrorist, the film sounds sense only when one comes to know about the anwar's past life!! the director should have taken much more care to add depth to the story since everyone knew a subject of this genre should need carefull nuture!!
the film starts of in a great note with nice frames and u cannot ask for a better background score, the stunt sequences in the first half holds u onto your seat with the gripping music, they cud have taken care to cut the stunt scenes to a min a length since at the end of each fight sequel u will feel as if u watched a tamil movie. the climax has been brilliantly shot and u cannot afford to take your eye off your scene!! editing too has given some breath to the movie!! the twists and the story plot can be guessed from the very begining as the director failed to bring in some freshness to it!!
prakash Raj sizzles in his role as a cop and Lal is so good in acting as a religious leader. Heroine Mamta Mohandas clicks as a good pair to Prithvi.but one has to say tht mamta is being wasted for our hero to reign on the screen
so if u want to c some scintillating shots of our young super star and some fast paced stunt sequences better go for it and as amal neerad says the frames speaks for his film and not story!!

Enthiran-review
The much awaited movie of the year, the movie whole of india were luking on ENTHIRAN has lived up to its hype. The movie touted as the costliest one ever made and the first indian movie to use complete hollywood experts(swanwinston studio's) is directed by shankar, and it is the first production venture ofthe SUN PICTURES.
Enthiran tipped to be a sci-fi thriller, has lived upto his complete reputation.though v saw koi mil gaya and krish ofthe same genere, they can't b called pure sci-fi. enthiran is a visual extravaganza. i say shankar takes the credit of india's first complete sci-fi movie.
for the first time shankar takes a u turn from his usual stories which displayed corruption and other social problems.
Enthiran story revolves around 3 persons, it can be considerd a triangular plot of love between a man,woman and the machine.Scientist Vaseegaran after toiling for many years, creates Chitti, a humanoid robot in his own image. Chitti has the strength of a hundred men, knows all languages and dance forms, and can even prepare a dozen dishes in a jiffy. Vaseegaran after getting the necessary approval, intends to make more of such robots that could be used by the army in warfare, thus reducing human casualties. But Vaseegaran’s mentor Professor Bohra (a suave Danny fitting in suitably), jealous of his student’s success refuses to give the clearance, dismissing his invention as a ‘stupidmachine’the truble starts when vaseegaran tries to impart human feelings inside chitti as chitti starts loving his girlfriend sana.he love for sana grows in chitti and he goes to extreme to make his love come true, how both sana and vaseegarn tackle chitti's outburst form the rest of the story. Aishwarya looks gorgeous, bubbly and vivacious as never before. She appears almost throughout, and is perfectly matched with the superstar. Shankar has meticulously crafted his script— his characters are finely tuned, sustains the pace for most part.
The earlier scenes where Vaseegaran lets out Chitti into the world to test his worthiness has many funny moments. The climax is a breathtaking spectacle, and nothing like what you’ve seen on Indian screen. The songs (Rahman definitely not at his best) are exquisitely picturised,and Ratnavelu’s stunning visuals provide excellent support. The visual effects and graphics are outstanding.
Designed by Hollywood experts 'Enthiran' is a perfect blend of Indian sensibility and superior Hollywood technical wizardry. an engaging script, brilliant special effects, and a debonair hero who still carries his charisma effortlessly. shankar can be compred to the vaseegarn in the movi both have toiled 10 years to bring out their life's dream, unlyk vaseegaran shankars project is a huge success.indian cinea is going to have an entire shift from here on..
